Sell Your Business Your Way

A simple Roadmap to a smooth, Profitable exit

Protect your employees, Your vendors, and your integrity

Start your next adventure with a rock-solid plan to ensure your stability and success

We See Your Potential…
And We Want To Help You Reach It

Take a look at some of the businesses we have sold, owned, scaled, or Exited:

Your Key To Success Is Your Exit Plan…Do you have one?

Most business owners (72% of them, to be exact) with revenues from $250,000 to $20 million have no exit plan and are taking no action to exit.

If your impending exit isnā€™t playing out exactly how you imagined, or youā€™re weighing different options, or you have no idea what your next step is, youā€™re not alone.

Most of these business owners will exit within a decade, but only 54% of them actually anticipate this timeline…

Of the small percentage of business owners who do have an exit plan:

37%

want to transfer the business to a family member

25%

want to sell to a partner or key employee

25%

want to sell to a third party

10%

expect to close or wind the business down

And most of these exit plans come with serious challenges

  • Selling to a relative or a key employee poses huge, hidden risks. Often, the person that a business owner is considering selling to doesnā€™t have the fundsā€“or the desireā€“to take over the business.
  • Of the mere 20%-30% of businesses that go on market and do sell to a third party, most end up involving concessions from the owner meaning a much smaller check than expected.
  • Closing your doors and resorting to common ā€œretirementā€ options like living off of a 401k or social security will likely mean taking a huge pay cut and, in some cases, wonā€™t even make ends meet.

So if you want your near future to involve margaritas on the beachā€¦a luxury cabin in the woods…taking your grandkids to the park every afternoonā€¦or whatever your dream retirement looks likeā€¦having a rock-solid exit is a non-negotiable.

In fact, 80%-90% of owners have their net worth tied to their business, which means that a strategic exit is literally a life or death situation.

But a shocking 70-80% of business that go to market don’t sell

And it’s not because they’re bad businesses

or because the owners didn’t try hard enough to get them sold

or because there’s a lack of need in the market.

It’s because there was no solid exit plan in place

So if you’ve been…

Tossing and turning late into the night thinking about the thousands of possibilities ahead of you and millions of things that could go wrong…

Stretched too thin during the day trying to keep your business profitable to come up with your next steps…

Completely unsure about what your next stage of life will look like and how you’ll support yourself and your family…

You are not Alone…

But you donā€™t have to give up and shut your doors. This entity that youā€™ve put so much time, money, effort, and love into can continue running.

Not only can it continue running, but it can continue growing, prospering, and pouring back into the employees, vendors, and customers that youā€™ve curated.

And it can do all of that without you working extra hours, sacrificing your retirement years or your next project, or taking a pay cut.

Because caring deeply about your business doesnā€™t mean you have to stop taking care of yourselfā€¦

There is a way to optimize your business, sell it for more than you thought possible, and comfortably step away while making significantly more than you thought possible over the course of your retirement.

That sounds a lot better than shutting it down and getting a couple grand a month from the government, doesnā€™t it?

We think so!

Let’s Ignite The Next Phase of Your Life

At ManifestU, we donā€™t treat your business like a transaction because we know that the people move the business, not the other way around.

Before Working With Our Team…

  • How do I retire without abandoning my dream?
  • How do I step away from my employees, my team, and the lifelong relationships Iā€™ve built through my business?
  • What will happen to my loyal customers and the quality of my service?
  • This is so confusing and I have no idea where to startā€¦ Iā€™m sure I can just pass my business on to a relative or key employeeā€¦
  • I canā€™t even step away from the day to day tasks long enough to come up with a plan!

After Working With Our Team…

  • I can live my dream retirement without abandoning the business Iā€™ve worked so hard to build.
  • I donā€™t have to step away from the business family Iā€™ve createdā€“I can pass them on to a team who knows that people are the most important asset to any business.
  • My loyal customers and world-class service will only continue to improve, especially with the expertise and care of this dedicated team.
  • With the right team behind me, exiting my business can actually be a simple and exciting process. I know how dangerous it can be to keep going without a plan, and I now have a rock-solid exit plan in place.
  • I can finally relax and begin to ease into retirement with the knowledge that I have a smart exit plan and a team behind me helping me execute it.

We know how stressful, overwhelming, and discouraging it can be to start thinking about selling your business.

Thatā€™s why our process is designed to be simple, streamlined, and friendly. Weā€™re not here to overwhelm you even more; weā€™re here to get both teams on the same page so we can align our goals and get on the fast track to success.

Current businesses and industries weā€™re interested in ā€” Look to see if youā€™re a fit! View our buying criteria

Every business will be a little bit different, but typically the purchase price will be agreed upon by calculating the cash flow plus the assets minus the debts.

There are dozens of ways that a purchase can happen within the business selling world. Most commonly when we buy a business we are putting money down at the dedicated closing date of the purchase and then we are making payments over time on the remaining balance due.

Weā€™re privately ownedā€”not a public fund. Our business is the love of business and helping companies grow while putting people first. Weā€™re looking to invest in businesses in our local community to help build a thriving home for our neighbors and ourselves.

The average business broker is highly impersonal, is purely motivated by the money, and takes at least a 10% cut. We donā€™t treat your business like just a product. Above all, our goal is to build a trusting relationship between one another rather than a quick transaction.

We believe that people move businesses, businesses donā€™t move people – we want to identify the talent people bring to the business and give them opportunities to grow and thrive within the organization youā€™ve built.

We see people as the lifeblood of a company’s success and believe that customer relationships are as good as gold. Through the process of purchasing your company we take heavily into consideration your relationships you have built to ensure we can honor your reputation, your integrity, and your network.

Anytime we enter into an agreement with a business, weā€™re happy to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) because we respect the privacy of the ownerā€™s wishes and communication.
